“In Nigeria, the need to have the private sector involved in the protection and conservation of nature cannot be over-emphasised. He said that the forum would advise governments on what should be done to foster rapid protection and conservation of the environment. “Or the services provided by nature which therefore makes business sense for the private sector to invest in the conservation and protection of the ecosystem,” he said. For the president, Board of Trustees of NCF, Chief Philip Asiodu, business products, practices, supply chains and models had great impacts on biodiversity conservation. Asiodu, who was represented by a Board Member of NCF, Dame Marie Fatayi-Williams, urged the private sectors’ participation in conservation.
